“All I ever needed was the music, and the mirror, And the chance to dance for you.“
Cassie, “A Chorus Line”
One of my cherished hobbies is playing the piano. During my childhood, I played the cello; however, like many children, I eventually got bored of it. It was during the first COVID-19 lockdown that I rediscovered my passion for music and embraced the piano with all my heart. From that moment on, my love for the instrument has only grown stronger. While I have reached an approximate Grade 4 level, I chose not to pursue formal exams, preferring instead to play purely for the sheer joy it brings me.
My musical tastes are quite diverse, spanning Broadway songs, Jazz, and classical compositions. Among the countless talented artists, Stephen Sondheim holds a special place in my heart. A true wordsmith, his melodies and music structure harmoniously blend together, much like a beautifully crafted computer program. Each piece he creates resonates deeply with me, leaving an everlasting impression.
Playing the piano has become a source of solace and creative expression for me. It allows me to immerse myself in the world of music, exploring different genres and honing my skills, all while finding immense delight in the process. I believe that music is a powerful force that enriches our lives, and I am grateful to have this passion in my life.
Commissioned Sheet Music
When I can’t find sheet music for a song I want to play, I often commission freelance artists to recreate it. I’m sharing these commissioned pieces online so others can easily access them too.
